Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. The role requires assisting with daily living activities, documenting vital signs, and supporting the care team under RN supervision.

The position is full-time, evenings, with a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage, plus a 401(k). You will help create a compassionate, Christian environment for residents.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrollment within four months of start date in a qualifying program.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum yearly continuing education of 12 hours required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, meals, toileting).
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Support infection prevention and PPE use per policy.
• Assist with transfers, ROM, and mobility using proper techniques.
