Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) serves residents with daily living support and nursing care under a charge nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor basic needs, and ensure comfort. This role is located at The Good Samaritan Sanford Health - Sioux Falls Center.

You will administer medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, document care and vital signs, and participate in wellness programs. Evening shifts are offered with differential pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Active CNA registration in the state or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Annual continuing education requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under supervision of a charge nurse.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes related to care, medication, and vital signs.
• Assist with daily living activities and support wellness programs.
