Good Samaritan Canistota is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of a charge nurse. Responsibilities include vital signs, personal care, assistance with meals, and documentation of outcomes.

Medication administration is delegated by a licensed nurse within state scope of practice. Applicants should hold a CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing; CMA/TMA certification may be required depending on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 18.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual continuing education minimums per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record and communicate vital signs and changes in condition.
• Participate in wellness and recreational activities and maintain care documentation.
