Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan Society – Canistota provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. The role includes administering medications as delegated, recording vital signs, and supporting wellness activities in a 55-bed facility near Sioux Falls.

Must hold CNA certification, CMA certification where required, and be age 18+. Evening shift from 2pm to 10:30pm with every other weekend/holiday.

Qualifications

• Must be CNA certified in the state of practice.
• Must have CMA certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance as part of a care team.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse within scope of practice.
• Document care, medication administration, vital signs, and outcomes.
