Sanford Health in Sioux Falls is hiring a Medication Assistant (MA) who delivers resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of a charge nurse. The role requires active SD CNA and Certified Medication Assistant certifications at hire and adherence to state CMA requirements.

Duties include administering medications as delegated, daily living assistance, and vital signs documentation. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, and have prior clinical or nursing

Formación

• Active SD CNA and Certified Medication Assistant certifications required at time of hire.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 18.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual continuing education minimum of 12 hours; state CE requirements apply.
• Must meet CMA/CNA state certification requirements where practicing.

Responsabilidades

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of a charge nurse.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Assist with daily living activities and bathing, grooming, dining support.
• Record vital signs, care outcomes, medication administration and observations.
• Communicate changing conditions or concerns to the charge nurse.
• Maintain cleanliness and assist with housekeeping and resident wellness activities.
