Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front desk operations at Waldwick Center. Under supervision, you will perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs and related tests, and document in the EMR system according to policy.

You will greet and register patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and manage scheduling while coordinating with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and high quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal Medical Assistant program. Certification required.
• Completion of formal coursework in office management, database management or business.
• Computer literacy and ability to document in EMR per policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; ensure insurance compliance and collect payment.
• Assist physician with patient intake, blood draw, EKG and tests as directed.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain proper patient flow and timely care.
