Valley Health System (New Jersey) is seeking a certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in Paramus at 140 E Ridgewood Ave. The role combines patient intake, blood draws, EKGs and routine tests with careful EMR documentation and insurance coordination.

Under supervision, you’ll greet patients, schedule visits, obtain referrals and handle front desk duties while contributing to a respectful, high-quality care environment and maintaining confidentiality and compliance with policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; NJ-recognized Medical Assistant program; certification required.
• Completion of coursework in office management or database management.
• 6 months customer service/administrative/clerical experience required in a clinic/outpatient setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet, register patients; verify insurance and collect payments at point of service.
• Maintain daily patient schedule and answer calls to schedule appointments, refills, or clinical/billing inquiries.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure proper patient flow; support Practice Manager.
