Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform direct clinical activities including patient intake, blood draw, EKGs, and tests as required. You will document in the EMR, maintain workflow with staff, and support front desk tasks such as registration, billing, and insurance protocols.

Requirements include a NJ-recognized Medical Assistant program and MA certification (AMT/AAMA/NCCT). Previous clinic or outpatient data entry and customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (AMT/AAMA/NCCT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient intake and front desk activities such as patient registration and billing.
• Perform blood draws, EKGs and tests as directed by the provider.
• Document in EMR accurately per licensure and VMG policies; support practice workflow.
