Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an operations packaging room lead at our West Point, PA facility. You will lead a team of Clinical Packaging Technicians, oversee packaging and labeling activities, ensure GMP/SOP compliance, and coordinate documentation in SAP.

This on-site role involves 2nd-shift hours and a focus on safety, quality, and timely execution. You will train new staff, manage room readiness, and maintain cleanliness and GDP-aligned documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience in GMP regulated environment.
• Leadership experience to enable accountability for daily operations for a team of packaging technicians
• Excellent communication skills and professional interpersonal abilities
• Vision qualification (20/20 with corrective) for inspections and cleaning

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and oversee the execution of filling, labelling, and packaging of clinical packaging jobs.
• Coordinate, perform and document de-packaging, packaging, labeling and sampling activities.
• Ensure room tasks comply with GMP/SOP, batch records, and safety requirements.
• Accountable for daily output and product quality in primary and secondary packaging of clinical studies.
• Report and prevent potential quality events and GMP non-conformances.
• Lead training for new employees and coach junior staff.
