Performance Food Group is seeking a Yard Driver at Suffolk, VA. The role involves moving tractor trailers to loading docks, parking trailers, and ensuring safety in daily operations.

A valid CDL A with a doubles endorsement and at least 3 months of doubles experience are required. Responsibilities include DOT-compliant safety checks, documentation, and facilitating maintenance/inspections while adhering to company procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent experience.
• CDL A license with Doubles Endorsement and at least 3 months of doubles (two-trailer) driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Must meet DOT health card requirements or obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Move tractor trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Transport trailers to offsite maintenance/inspection facilities as needed.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Handle paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors/trailers are secured and clean; complete required paperwork.
• End-of-shift secure equipment and complete necessary tasks.
