Job summary

The Yard Driver at Performance Food Group in Suffolk, VA moves tractor trailers to and from loading docks, parks units, and supports safety compliance under DOT rules. Shift: Sunday through Thursday, around 5:00 PM, with Fridays and Saturdays off.

Qualifications include a valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement and at least 3 months of doubles experience; high school diploma or GED; ability to pass pre-employment checks and a road test. Competitive pay and benefits start Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 12 months of tractor trailer experience.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) as per DOT regulations and report issues.
• Move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors/trailers are secured when not in use.
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork and maintain cleanliness.
