Job summary

COOPERRIVERALF is seeking a dedicated resident care assistant to provide routine daily care per care plans, while ensuring patient safety and dignity. You will perform ADLs, document changes, and coordinate with nursing staff to maintain a calm, warm environment on the unit.

You will use PCC for resident information, escort residents, and assist with meals, clothing, and mobility. Strong reading, writing, and communication skills are essential to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent as a minimum.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow written instructions and policies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for resident interaction.

Responsibilities

• Use PCC to ensure correct resident information during assistance with ADLs and meals.
• Record entries accurately in notes, SPAs, and incident reports.
• Report changes in residents' condition to Health and Wellness Director as soon as practical.
• Escort residents to rooms and introduce them to roommates and staff.
• Ensure resident rooms are prepared and beds made, with extra covers as requested.
• Assist with daily living activities and meals, including hygiene and grooming.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and notify of any unauthorized disclosures.
