Job summary

Great Lakes Management Co. is seeking a Resident Assistant to deliver hands-on care and emotional support to residents at the Minnetonka location. You will assist with daily living activities, engage residents in dining and activities, and communicate changes to the case manager.

The role emphasizes resident well-being, teamwork with nursing staff, and accurate documentation. This on-site, full-time position offers growth opportunities and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
