Job summary

Motivate seeks an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee Washington DC bikeshare service delivery, supervise daily staff, and drive safety and performance targets. You will empower teams, implement improvements, and ensure adherence to standards within a fast-paced urban logistics environment.

The role features a 4-day schedule (Sun-Wed, 1:30 PM–11:30 PM) with potential changes based on business needs. Prior union environment supervision, strong communication, and MS Office proficiency are

Qualifications

• Experience supervising hourly operations teams, including field and warehouse staff.
• Ability to drive productivity in a union environment and align with safety requirements.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; proficient with MS Office and quick to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Develop scheduling and daily supervision of the service delivery team; ensure shift processes run smoothly.
• Conduct daily supervision and training of employees; monitor performance to meet metrics.
• Lead daily operational standups with shift goals and safety topics; record and report metrics.
• Use performance data to design and modify procedures to improve performance.
• Ensure safety and quality control processes are in place and followed.
