Job summary

Motivate is seeking full-time Field Service Technicians (Station Technicians) to support Washington DC’s bikeshare system. The technicians will help maintain station terminals and station components.

Traveling around the system, the station technicians will check the docking stations and provide maintenance to ensure proper operations.Training in technical and unique aspects of maintaining bikeshare stations infrastructure will be provided.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience in electronics troubleshooting and field-based repair work preferred.
• Safety-minded and comfortable with hand/power tools; forklift a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive in urban environments.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and test functionality of station components and diagnose malfunctions.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of station hardware and software systems.
• Operate a vehicle and bicycle across urban routes for system support.
• Produce accurate, complete, and timely reports and documentation.
• Complete special projects as assigned by management.
