Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn is seeking a Psychiatric Technician for the Evening Shift to provide direct patient observation and support within the Behavioral Health setting, promoting patient safety and a therapeutic environment. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Behavioral Health patients.
• Knowledge of non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
• AHA Heartsaver or BLS certification.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient observation and support within Behavioral Health.
• Monitor and report changes in patient behavior to nursing staff.
• Assist with safety interventions and 1:1 observation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with policies.
