Roosevelt Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our team. The role focuses on creating engaging programs that promote residents' social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being in a sub-acute and long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma and at least one year of relevant experience, with a passion for enriching the lives of seniors. Evening shifts are available, with daily pay and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in an Activities Department or related healthcare setting is preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging environment that enhances residents' quality of life.
• Document resident participation and engagement in activities.
• Plan and implement recreational, social, educational, and community-based programs.
• Build relationships to encourage participation based on interests and abilities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals.
• Escort and transport residents to activities and events.
• Complete required administrative tasks and program records.
• Assist with event setup, decorations, and breakdowns.
• Support resident-centered care and community outreach.
