Job summary

The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation and Nursing and Healthcare Center in Freehold, NJ is seeking an Activities Assistant to create engaging programs that enrich residents’ daily lives. This full-time role requires flexibility to work every other weekend, provide compassionate interaction, document participation, plan and implement activities, and collaborate with the care team.

A high school diploma is required, and previous work with seniors is preferred; daily pay options, competitive benefits,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in an Activities Department or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment that enhances residents' daily life.
• Document resident participation in activities and programs.
• Promote residents' social, physical, emotional, and intellectual well‑being.
• Plan and implement recreational, social, and educational programs.
• Build respectful relationships and encourage participation based on interests.
• Collaborate with the care team to support resident goals.
• Assist with transporting residents to activities and events.
• Complete administrative tasks and activity records.
