Job summary

River Terrace Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to engage residents through meaningful programs in a sub-acute and long-term care setting. The role supports social, emotional, and physical well-being with a focus on resident-centered activities.

The position is part-time with weekday afternoons and alternating weekends. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and experience with seniors is preferred. Daily pay is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in an Activities Department, healthcare setting, skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, assisted living community, or related environment preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging environment that enhances residents' quality of life.
• Document resident participation and engagement in activities.
• Promote residents' well-being through meaningful activities and interactions.
• Help plan, develop, organize, and implement recreational and community-based programs.
• Build positive relationships and encourage participation based on individual interests and abilities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals.
