Job summary

Rivian Automotive in Southern California seeks an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical skills while delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll work under senior tech mentorship to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service, with a role that may include mobile routes or plant support.

The position emphasizes hands-on learning, strong communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.
• 0–3 years hands-on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent graduates.
• Basic exposure to electric vehicle (EV) / hybrid frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Service & Repair: Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service centers, on mobile routes, or remote locations.
• Technical Guidance & Learning: Learn Rivian product line, EV framework, and tools under mentorship of senior technicians.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and safety.
• Parts & Operations Management: Assist with parts order, receipt, inventory tracking, and expense reporting.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed notes for completed and in-process repairs.
• Customer Interaction: Maintain professionalism with customers and partners at facilities or events.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns.
