Job summary

Rivian in Roswell, GA is seeking an emerging to mid-level Automotive Technician to grow technical acumen while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Under mentorship, you will support EV repairs, inspections, and field service, with work at service centers, mobile routes, or plant operations as needed.

Night shift hours are 5pm–2am. You will diagnose, repair, document, and learn the EV framework, using diagnostic tools and procedures to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair school is highly preferred.
• 0-3 years in automotive shop or technical environment; recent grads welcome.
• Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks; startup environment a plus.
• Ability to drive non-commercial truck/trailer preferred.
• 40-hour workweek with potential shifts; weekends/holidays possible.
• Willingness to travel regionally; strong communicator.
• Proficient with laptops/computers and work order systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures safely and efficiently with quality focus.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory, and expenses.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
• Interact with customers professionally at service facilities or events.
• Identify process improvements and participate in campaigns or containment efforts.
• Engage in required training and stay current on evolving technical skills.
