Job summary

Rivian is seeking a motivated Junior Technician to grow technical skills while delivering exceptional customer service. Based at a local service center with potential mobile routes, you will support EV repairs, inspections, and field service operations under senior mentorship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or recognized equivalency credential preferred.
• 0–3 years hands-on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent graduates.
• Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks or startup environments is a plus.
• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.
• Proficient with laptops/computers and work order management systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle service & repair at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Provide technical guidance and learning under mentorship from senior technicians.
• Follow repair procedures and safety protocols without compromising quality.
• Conduct road tests post-repair to verify performance and safety.
• Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, inventory, and expense reporting.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, third‑party affiliates, and suppliers.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns or containment initiatives.
• Engage in required training and stay current on evolving technical skills.
