Job summary

Rivian seeks an entry- to mid-level Technician to grow technical skills while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will work under senior technicians and leadership to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service.

The role is based primarily at a local service center, with potential for remote work, mobile service, or plant support as needs evolve. The candidate thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, demonstrates strong communication, and shares a passion for innovation

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.
• 0-3 years of hands‑on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent graduates.
• Basic exposure to electric vehicle (EV) / hybrid frameworks, or experience in fast‑paced startups is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle service and repair: diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Provide guidance and learn product line, EV framework, tools and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures safely and efficiently with quality maintenance.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and safety after service.
• Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory tracking, and expense reporting.
• Maintain detailed technical notes for completed and in-process repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, third-party affiliates, and suppliers.
