Job summary

Vinfast is seeking Field Technical Support Engineers to provide on-site vehicle systems support to service centers and trainers. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and escalating issues, with hands-on guidance on Powertrain, High Voltage EV systems and ADAS.

It requires strong communication, CAN tools proficiency, and travel up to 70% to customer sites. You will build partnerships with service managers, deliver targeted trainings, and drive service readiness feedback while quoting

Qualifications

• Technical automotive background with hands-on service experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Electric Vehicles is a plus.
• Analytical ability to understand and impact KPIs.
• Problem-solving initiatives to fix issues and understand root causes.
• Proven ability to lead by example and drive efficiency.
• Ability to motivate a team and engage others in fast-paced environments.
• Comfort with agile, dynamic work conditions.
• Digitally savvy with aptitude for new technology and systems.
• CAN analysis and flashing tools such as Vector Canoe and VFlash familiarity is a plus.
• Experience with issue tracking tools such as JIRA and fleet management software is a plus.
• Valid Driving License

Responsibilities

• Handle diagnosis requests in a structured and timely manner.
• Maintain relationships with Service Center managers and technicians in the region.
• Knowledge of Powertrain, modern high voltage EV power systems, or ADAS systems.
• Conduct ad-hoc in-Service Center product training sessions on software releases or new features.
• Take ownership of technicians' concerns and resolve problems.
• Address service center technician problem-resolution needs by phone or on-site.
• Report on service center's quality of service relative to readiness.
• Proficient with OBD-based diagnostic tools and CAN analysis.
• Travel as needed (typical travel: 30-70%).
