Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs both at service centers and on customer sites. The role may involve travel to various locations including production plants to provide vehicle support.

This level-agnostic posting targets technicians across seniority levels based on business needs. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and inspecting Rivian vehicles, using EV knowledge, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive shop experience is preferred.
• EV or hybrid repair experience is a plus.
• Willing to work 40 hours including weekends/holidays.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record for 3–5 years.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Fluent English reading/writing required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service centers or in the field.
• Explain Rivian product line and EV framework to customers.
• Follow repair procedures and document work notes.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs.
• Manage parts operations including ordering and inventory.
• Collaborate with team and maintain professional customer communication.
