Job summary

Rivian is seeking an End of Line Technician in Illinois to diagnose, repair, and verify EV vehicles before final customer delivery. You will report to an End of Line Group Leader and work 3:30pm–12:00am to maintain Rivian quality standards.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, perform tests with Rivian tools, and document all work with high attention to detail to ensure safe, reliable vehicles leaving the line. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of automotive repair experience.
• Proficiency in automotive service experience.
• Repair, diagnostic and other auto tech work.
• Automotive technology or technician degree or equivalent experience/certificate (nice to have).
• EV experience preferred (nice to have).
• OEM specific technician training is a plus.
• Knowledge of EV powertrains and HV systems (nice to have).
• Strong written and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues on complex EV vehicle systems.
• Perform diagnostics using a combination of technical experience, Rivian product knowledge, diagnostic tools, and vehicle logs to root cause issues.
• Carry out duties with attention to detail to ensure vehicles are fully repaired.
• Perform heavy and light repairs, diagnostics, troubleshooting and general repairs.
• Maintain thorough records of all work performed to ensure high quality and compliant vehicles produced from the factory.
• Use first principles to collaborate, teach, and mentor other team members.
