Pearce Services seeks an EV Charging Field Service Technician to repair and maintain charging stations across a defined region, focusing on safety, electrical system upkeep, and detailed field reporting. Must reside within one hour of San Jose, CA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ equivalent experience in servicing electrical power equipment in commercial/utility energy.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills; EV chargers or solar power knowledge is a plus.
• Experience using CMMS to generate and track site work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades to EV chargers.
• Conduct insulation testing, thermal imaging, torque tests, and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate ground faults.
• Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to ensure maintenance on time and complete work orders.
• Review site manuals/drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance.
• In-field maintenance of site equipment and accurate field reporting.
• Document issues in the work order system and address timely.
