Job summary

ASML US, LLC seeks a Senior Scientist - EUV Research to join the Technology Development team. The role focuses on conceiving and demonstrating technologies for next-generation high-power EUV light sources, including laser-produced plasma, metrology, optics, and experimental design.

The candidate will lead multi-physics modeling, lab-scale experiments, and hardware development, bridging modeling and measurements to drive innovations forward in a dynamic research environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience in materials engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, material science, physics, optics or related field.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure systems, metrology development, data analysis and experimentation.
• Experience with microfluidics, liquid jet breakup, droplet coalescence, piezoelectricity and acoustics is highly desired.
• Strong ability to communicate science clearly and lead research projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Guide the high-level architecture for droplet generation in EUV source.
• Lead design of droplet generation hardware and build metrology/testing capabilities.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and define experimental designs to guide product teams.
• Develop and execute system and subsystem performance tests and analyze results.
• Document learning and communicate with engineering and product teams.
