Job summary

ASML US, LP invites a Staff Laser Scientist to advance high-power LPP-EUV light source technology and DUV lasers. You will design architectures, model system behavior, and drive experiments from concept to validation with a multidisciplinary team.

You will mentor colleagues, communicate findings, and contribute to roadmap-driven development in a fast-changing clean-room environment. Strong expertise in laser physics and optical engineering is essential.

Qualifications

PhD with 3+ years (or MS with 6+ years) in laser physics, optics, photonics or related field.
Proven track record of identifying system-level needs and decomposing into technical directions.
Hands-on breadboard laser and optical system design, alignment, and performance characterization.

Responsibilities

Guide the development of high-level architecture definitions for laser design, including discharge type, gas flow, optical design.
Lead product pathfinding at low TRL to system-level validation.
Create models of the system to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
Identify and maintain requirements between lasers and other system functions.
