Job summary

GlobalFoundries U.S. Inc. in Malta, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor equipment in Fab 8, a 300mm leading-edge facility.

You will work with production teams and area engineers, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and communicate status to Lead Tech or Engineer. The role requires ability to work 12-hour shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, wear cleanroom PPE, and comply with EHS policies.

Qualifications

• High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Electrical or mechanical, 2-year technical degree or 4 years related experience.
• English (Written & Verbal) required with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment per SOPs.
• Monitor, test equipment for manufacturing readiness and communicate status.
• Support training activities and work with teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Document events and communicate shift handoffs clearly.
