Job summary

GlobalFoundries Malta Fab 8 seeks a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain and improve semiconductor equipment in a fast‑paced fab. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot tools, and communicate updates to the Lead Tech and engineers to ensure manufacturing readiness.

The role requires reading schematics, following procedures, and wearing required cleanroom PPE. Candidates should have a 2-year technical degree or equivalent and 4 years of semiconductor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-year technical/associates or related discipline, or military training/experience.
• 4+ years direct experience in semiconductor manufacturing or tool/equipment/facilities maintenance; or 10+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment per operating procedures.
• Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions and document end-of-shift passdowns.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech and/or Engineer.
• Work safely in alignment with FAB8 EHS&S policies.
• Maintain and organize daily work plans and priorities.
