Job summary

Sundt Construction in Austin, TX, is seeking an Estimator I/II to support preconstruction on large projects and multiple smaller ones. You will participate in bid efforts, develop basic estimating concepts, and assist senior staff with budget uploads and purchasing plans.

Expect to draft subcontracts, manage document control, and contribute to pricing for essential project elements as you grow in estimating principles.

Qualifications

• Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• LEED accreditation preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs quantity takeoff.
• Assists in pricing of project logistics, including hoisting and temporary elements.
• Develops abstracts and evaluates basic trade bids.
• Develops understanding of indirect costs (insurance, taxes, fees).
• Develops pricing for basic project elements; assists in preparation of key estimating deliverables.
• Drafts subcontracts and purchase orders for review by senior personnel.
• Provides document control for assigned projects.
