Sundt Construction is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team in Texas. The role involves leading all estimating activities, serving as the primary contact with design teams and owners, and training junior staff.

The Senior Estimator will handle conceptual estimates, cost analysis for mechanical and electrical scopes, and ensure accurate budgeting and logistics planning. Ideal candidates bring ten+ years of estimating experience, with a four-year engineering degree, and

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Project experience in one or more key market sectors identified by the business unit.
• LEED accreditation and DBIA certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Successful history executing projects as the prime contact with minimal oversight.
• Ten or more years of experience in an estimating role.

Responsibilities

• Capably performs basic estimating functions including quantity takeoff, pricing for all trades, and abstracting.
• Develops conceptual estimates for review by senior personnel.
• Lead preparation of estimating documents and budget-related deliverables with minimal oversight.
• Perform advanced estimating tasks for hard bid pursuits and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate with operations to develop schedules, logistics, and staffing plans.
• Provide feedback to design team regarding cost and constructability.
