Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an Estimator I/II to support the preconstruction team in Charlotte, NC. The role involves quantity takeoffs, pricing for logistics and temporary elements, and assisting in bid efforts for Design Build and CM at Risk methods.

You will develop basic estimating tasks while learning more advanced concepts such as conceptual estimating, project logistics, and indirect costs under senior guidance. This position offers growth within a 100% employee-owned contractor.

Qualifications

• Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• Experience levels: Estimator I 1-3 years; Estimator II 2-5 years.
• Preferred LEED accreditation or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs quantity takeoff.
• Develops pricing for basic project elements and assists in bid preparation.
• Drafts subcontracts and purchase orders for review by senior personnel.
• Provides document control for assigned projects.
• Solicits pricing for projects in the hard bid environment.
• Supports conceptual estimating efforts and development of basic models.
• Develops budget uploads and purchasing plans with oversight.
