Job summary

Sundt is seeking a details-oriented Estimator I/II for our Austin projects. The role focuses on accurate quantity takeoffs, pricing of logistics such as hoisting and temporary elements, and developing basic bid abstracts.

You will work under senior staff to ensure precise estimates and timely deliverables. Eligible candidates typically hold a four-year engineering degree, may have LEED accreditation, and should be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

• Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• LEED accreditation preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs quantity takeoff.
• Assists in pricing project logistics including hoisting and temporary construction elements.
• Develops abstracts and evaluates basic trade bids.
• Develops understanding of indirect costs such as insurance, taxes, and fees.
• Pricing for basic project elements and assists in preparing estimating deliverables.
• Drafts subcontracts and purchase orders for senior review.
• Provides document control for assigned projects.
• Solicits pricing for projects in hard bid environments.
• Supports conceptual estimating efforts and develops basic models.
• With oversight, develops budget uploads and purchasing plans.
