Sundt is seeking an Estimator I/II in the El Paso area to contribute to bid efforts and support the estimating department. The role involves quantity takeoffs, pricing project logistics, and assisting with subs and purchasing while gaining exposure to Design Build and CM at Risk delivery methods.

The position requires a four-year engineering degree or equivalent experience, with LEED accreditation preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and safety standards are a focus.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• LEED accreditation preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsabilités

• Accurately performs quantity takeoff.
• Assists in pricing project logistics including hoisting, personnel lifts, and temporary elements.
• Develops abstracts and evaluates basic trade bids.
• Develops understanding of indirect costs, including insurance, taxes, and fees.
• Develops pricing for basic project elements and assists in preparing estimating deliverables.
• Drafts subcontracts and purchase orders for review by senior personnel.
• Provides document control for assigned projects.
• Solicits pricing for projects in the hard bid environment.
• Supports conceptual estimating efforts with basic models for review by seniors.
• With oversight, develops budget uploads and purchasing plans.
