Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Indiana is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn estimating from our seasoned estimator and drive accurate, profitable repair quotes.

You will map damage with customers, prepare estimates, coordinate with production, and assist insurance adjusters. Strong communication and computer skills are essential; I-CAR coursework and several years' related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 16 I-CAR units within 12 months.
• Prior customer service experience; 4–6 years related work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer at repair drop off and build rapport.
• Maps damage with customer and identifies WOW opportunities.
• Prepares final estimate using Repair Planning Template.
• Notifies production and places vehicle in production queue; verifies teardown estimate.
• Reviews estimate with customer and reviews promise date by phone.
• Assists insurance adjusters with damage reports and re-inspections.
