Gerber Collision & Glass in Milwaukee is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn diagnosing and preparing repair estimates in line with insurer and company guidelines. You will work with an Estimator to diagnose damage and create accurate, profitable estimates while communicating Gerber’s value.

The role includes greeting customers, mapping damage, uploading photos to CCC One, coordinating with production, and assisting insurance claim re-inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Must complete 16 I-CAR units within 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4–6 years related work experience; photo-imaging software experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Greets customer at repair drop off and builds rapport.
• Maps damage with customer (previous, current loss, WOW opportunities).
• Handles repair mapping, takes initial photographs and uploads to CCC One with notes.
• Notifies production that vehicle has arrived and places in production queue; verifies estimate during teardown.
• Finalizes estimate using Repair Planning Template.
• Works with repair team to ensure windshield notations are correct; assembles final parts list.
• Uses Promise Date Calculator to set date; calls customer to review estimate and promise date.
• Updates customer regularly per management standards.
• Participates in production meetings and follows up with customers about next steps.
• Assists insurance adjusters with damage reports and supports claim re-inspections.
