Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates, budgets, and ROMs.
• Read specs, organize bid docs, perform take-offs, prepare bid RFIs, and finalize bids.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors, review for alignment with plans.
• Consult with clients and teams to discuss estimates and resolve pre-bid issues.
• Prepare detailed proposals and meet clients to review estimates.

Estimator (Electrical Division)

Responsibilities

• Analyze electrical, mechanical, architectural drawings and other documents to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates, budgets, and rough order magnitudes.
• Read project specifications and general conditions, organize bid documents, perform drawing take‑offs, prepare and submit bid RFIs, and finalize bids using computerized estimating systems.
• Work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, soliciting quotes and reviewing them for completeness with project plans and specifications.
• Consult with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve pre‑bid issues.
• Prepare detailed proposals, meet with clients to review estimates, and build lasting relationships.
• Attend job walks, pre‑bid meetings, and business development functions after normal work hours as needed.
• Provide cost alternatives and value‑engineering options for customers.
• Support kick‑off meetings on awarded projects, working closely with Project Managers and Foremen to communicate estimate details and project specifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
