Job summary

J.E. Dunn Construction is seeking an Estimating Manager 1 to prepare cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals, while developing economical construction methods and comprehensive deliverables for major estimates.

You will apply company processes and tools to develop project estimates, supporting the strategy and values of our organization. The role offers opportunities for advancement, collaboration with a broad stakeholder network, and exposure to complex projects across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• 3+ years estimating experience; 5+ years construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; occasional travel; may require non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity surveys of materials from project plans.
• Read and outline project specifications and maintain audit trails.
• Support pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate bid day summaries and procurement presentations.
• Collaborate with project teams and field staff to improve estimates.
