Job summary

WSP USA seeks an ESSP Electrical Engineer to join our Phoenix, AZ office, with consideration for candidates in San Diego, Los Angeles, or Sacramento. You will contribute to the ESSP team and help meet client objectives.

You will perform electrical studies, SCADA, and protection work across generation facilities, substations, transmission systems, and distribution networks. A three-phase power background and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in EE or CE or related field
• 3–5 years of design or device configuration experience in power system disciplines
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and power system basics
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and non-engineering audiences
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a team

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies, SCADA, and protection work across power systems
• Prepare technical reports with calculations and sketches
• Assist with risk assessment, design concepts, and project execution
• Coordinate field/site work and permitting as needed
• Travel to project sites for testing and commissioning when required
