Job summary

WSP USA in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an ESSP Electrical Engineer to join our Phoenix office, with consideration for candidates in San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; or Sacramento, CA. You will work with the ESSP team on electrical studies, SCADA, and protection, supporting projects across power delivery and grid modernization.

The role requires a BSEE, BSEET, or BSCE from an ABET-accredited program with 3–5 years of related design experience, strong communication, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
  • 3–5 years of industry design experience in electrical engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design/build, and permitting processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical studies, protection, and SCADA-related tasks.
  • Contribute to design and field testing supporting ESSP projects.
  • Prepare technical reports with findings, calculations, and sketches.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to meet objectives.
  • Travel to project sites as required by project schedules.
