Job summary

Border States, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking an Alliance Service Representative I to support day-to-day Customer Service operations in Amarillo, TX or Lubbock, TX. You will receive and enter orders, follow up on inquiries, coordinate deliveries, process returns, and resolve order issues.

This role requires strong customer service skills, basic electrical product knowledge, and experience with SAP and EDI systems. Join a team focused on service excellence and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• 2-year business/trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred.
• Technical ability to understand electrical systems.
• 2+ years of prior electrical distribution experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and enters orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Processes EDI orders.
• Provides price quotes to customers for existing bill of materials.
• Provides consistent and timely follow‑up on customer inquiries and order status.
• Secures pricing from vendors, coordinates deliveries, processes returns and expedites deliveries when necessary.
• Utilizes product knowledge to provide service to the customer.
• Loads and maintains customer part numbers in the CMIR.
• Adheres to customer product standards.
• Assists and maintains relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Runs daily reports and resolves customer and order issues.
• Assists customers with billing issues.
• Assists with Emergency Response orders.
