New York Public Library is seeking an ESOL Instructor for a part-time fall cycle at St. George Library Center. The role focuses on delivering ESOL and literacy instruction to adults across in-person and online formats, in 10-week cycles, September to December.
The instructor teaches Mondays and Wednesdays 10:00am–1:00pm, with 1.5 hours of paid prep weekly, and supports enrollment and progress tracking in a public library setting.

Overview
Adult English Language and Literacy (AELL) is the direct service provider of ESOL and adult literacy instruction for The New York Public Library (NYPL). Professional teachers facilitate free instruction to adult patrons in reading, writing, speaking and listening from a 0 to 8th grade level in both in-person and online classes. Instruction is offered in three, 10-week cycles and one, 4-week summer cycle.
*Please note this position is for our fall cycle of classes which lasts 10 weeks and takes place between September and December.*
