The New York Public Library (NYPL) is seeking an ESOL instructor for the Adult English Language and Literacy program. The fall cycle runs 10 weeks with sessions to be held Sep–Dec, teaching to adults at various English levels.
Position requires availability at Muhlenberg Library (Manhattan) on Saturdays from 10:00am–2:00pm and 2:30pm–4:30pm, and a commitment to using the prescribed curriculum and contributing to student enrollment and records.
Adult English Language and Literacy (AELL) is the direct service provider of ESOL and adult literacy instruction for The New York Public Library (NYPL). Professional teachers facilitate free instruction to adult patrons in reading, writing, speaking and listening from a 0 to 8th grade level in both in-person and online classes. Instruction is offered in three, 10-week cycles and one, 4-week summer cycle.
