CCBC is seeking an instructor to provide ESOL instruction to adult learners across Beginning to Advanced levels, focusing on workplace and community English. Courses are offered in Continuing Education and require thoughtful lesson planning, assessment, and data collection for grant reporting.
Duties include class preparation, delivering engaging instruction, administering tests, and maintaining records. Attendance at semester meetings and professional development trainings is required; stipends

Levels taught include Beginning to Intermediatelevels providing instruction to improve English for workplace andcommunity settings. Classes at the Advanced level are also providedto improve English for pre-academic or professional purposes.Duties include class preparation, instruction, testing, andrecord-keeping/data collection for grant reporting. Attendance atsemester meetings and professional development trainings arerequired (Stipends provided). Pay rates for non-credit courses in Continuing Education arecommensurate with education and experience qualifications.
BA/BS degree, experience and/or training teaching non-nativeEnglish speaking adult students, knowledge of adult learning theoryand best practices for use in teaching non-native English learners,and computer proficiency. Preferred: Certificate or degree in TESOLand one year of experience teaching adult ESOL.
