Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional ESL Teacher to join our community of educators. The role centers on providing English language development for multilingual learners and collaborating with classroom teachers to align instruction with four language domains and assessments.

The candidate will deliver instruction aligned to WIDA standards, participate in district professional development, and support language access and equity in a dynamic urban school setting.

Qualifications

• Education Level: Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Hold a Massachusetts ESL teaching license at the appropriate grade level.
• Be fully licensed and Highly Qualified per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide ESL instruction to Multilingual Learners identified as English Learners.
• Collaborate with content teachers to align instruction with students' English language development across domains.
• Assist with ACCESS administration and ELL student transition meetings.
• Deliver lessons aligned to WIDA Instructional Standards for varying proficiency levels.
• Attend district/state professional development for ELL instruction improvements.
