Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Hold a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in ESL at the appropriate grade level.
• Complete state and federal guidelines in order to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.
• Able to model excellent spoken and written English for students learning English.

Responsibilities

• Provide English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction to Multilingual Learners identified as English Learners.
• Collaborate with content teachers to align instruction for English language development across all domains.
• Collaborate with instructional leadership and administration to ensure language support and academic assistance.
• Assist with ACCESS administration and ELL transition meetings.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned to WIDA standards for varying English proficiency levels.
• Demonstrate cultural proficiency and use culturally relevant instructional practices.
• Integrate technology as a classroom tool and for productivity.
• Support assessment administration for English language learners.
• Participate in district/state professional development to stay current with ELL practices.
