Job summary

First American is seeking an Escrow Assistant to support real estate escrow transactions from opening to closing. You will review and prepare closing documents, determine requirements, and ensure accuracy while handling funds and maintaining records.

The role requires knowledge of escrow procedures, familiarity with MS Office, and strong client relations. A High School diploma and state licensing are preferred; join our People First culture and grow with First American.

Qualifications

• Familiar with escrow/title industry concepts and procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong client relations and organizational skills.
• Ability to write reports and communicate clearly.
• Detail-oriented with discretion handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Completes real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements; clearing titles; assembling and reviewing closing documents; disbursing funds.
• Determines closing requirements by studying buyer, seller and lender instructions.
• Orders title reports for issuing title insurance and resolving defects.
• Establishes escrow accounts by depositing funds and maintaining records.
• Prepares transaction documents and statements; reviews documents for completeness.
• Balances taxes and interest; prepares and distributes final closing statements.
