Job summary

First American is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer to join our Appleton team. The role focuses on residential and commercial real estate closings, deposit management, and documentation compliance in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment.

You will handle escrow accounts, coordinate with parties, and ensure accurate closing disbursements, contributing to successful home ownership transactions.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of escrow-related experience.
• Experience directly handling escrow transactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
• Problem solver with strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Familiarity with MS Office and adapting to new software.

Responsibilities

• Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements.
• Act as a neutral liaison between file parties and monitor risk.
• Ensure funds are properly accounted for and disbursed per contract.
• Prepare regular escrow status reports for involved parties.
• Examine titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents.
• Prepare legal closing documents and finalize closing statements.
• Record and file documents to complete closing.
